Sheringham Park
Yesterday, the Lions and Tigers joined Hickling Infant School on a trip to Sheringham Park. We had a fantastic day and managed to dodge the rain until lunchtime. We took part in pond dipping, bug hunting and outside art. The children behaved beautifully and engaged really well in all of the activities.

Flowers & Seeds!
This week the Lions have been making the most of the beautiful sunshine! Yesterday we took our art lesson outside to do some observational drawings of flowers around the school. We thought carefully about the different parts of the flowers and the shapes of the petals.
Today we set up an experiment to find out what plants need to grow. We planted some cress seeds in pots and labelled them depending on what we were or weren't going to give them. We put one in the dark, one in the sun, one had no soil and one had no air. We talked about what we thought and made predictions about which ones would and wouldn't grow and why. We can't wait to see what happens!

How long is it?
This week we have been learning all about length and height. We found out who was the tallest in the class and then measured ourselves using dinosaur footprints! We also made caterpillars out of Plasticine. We had to think how to make our caterpillars shorter and longer. Some of us also had a go at finding out exactly how long our caterpillars were.

Easter Cafe
What fun we had at our Easter Café! We started by reading a book based on an Easter theme. Tigers loved reading We're Going on an Egg Hunt and Lions found Mr Bunny's Chocolate Factory really funny! After that we had some yummy biscuits and squash before getting busy making our Easter Bonnets. We all worked really hard and had so much fun working with all the parents that joined us! The parade was fantastic and allowed the children to show off their amazing bonnets. Well done everyone!
