Making and Baking!

Wow what a busy day Lions and Tigers have had! This morning we had the lovely Sarah-Jane come in and she taught us all how to bake star biscuits. We listened carefully to the ingredients and the steps that we needed to take. We even got to decorate our biscuits with coloured icing and sprinkles!! It was so much fun and the children couldn't wait to try their biscuits at home time!

Then this afternoon we were all busy finishing our moon buggies that we have been making. We took our time and made sure our wheels were fitted properly and all of our parts were stuck on with enough tape so that they wouldn't fall off! We also painted them with really cool silver paint! Have a look at some of our moon buggies below.

Marshmallow Madness

This week in Forest Schools, the Tigers cooked marshmallows on a campfire. Mrs Butcher even came and joined in the fun!

The behaviour by all children was excellent and it was so lovely to see and hear so many beautiful manners.

Forest Schools

On Tuesday afternoon the Tigers enjoyed some beautiful autumnal weather and had a great time outside at Forest School.  Some of us played in the mud kitchen, some of us helped Miss Wones to collect wood for the fire and some of us made magic wands out of sticks.  We finished off by playing one of our hide and seek games, '1, 2, 3, where are you?'

Directions

This week in maths the Lions have been learning about patterns and direction. Today we took our learning outside which we were all super excited about! Our task was to use the correct vocabulary to direct our partner around an obstacle course. We used directions such as forwards, backwards and learnt which way was left and right. We also practiced our turns as we directed our partner to do a quarter, half or three-quarter turn. Some of us even learnt which way we needed to turn if we were turning clockwise and anticlockwise! Super work Lions!
