Pancakes

In celebration of Shrove Tuesday the Lions and Tigers made yummy pancakes. All the children were fantastically well behaved and everyone enjoyed their pancakes. Apparently, sugar is the most popular topping in our class :)

Sign 2 Sing

The whole school joined together for the Sign 2 Sing charity event. This is an annual event, organised by the Deaf Health Charity SignHealth, which raises essential funds to help vulnerable deaf children and adults. We sang and signed the song 'Together'. It was truly amazing and we were so proud.

India!

As part of our topic Lions and Tigers have been learning all about India and the clothes that people wear in India. We have explored lots of Sari's, looked at their patterns, tried some on and lots of us have even designed our own! We have also been doing lots of other activities to with India during the afternoons.. take a look at some of the photos below!
We made some elephants using milk bottles and tissue paper!

We used the internet to explore Indian clothing and created a word document with a picture and a sentence to explain the picture.

We created Rangoli patterns!

Look at some of our Sari designs!

We explored and discussed the Indian flag and some of us even made our own!

We also designed our own henna tattoos!

What's the time?

Lions have been working super hard over the past couple of weeks in maths. We have learnt how to tell the time! We can now tell the time to o'clock, half past, quarter past and quarter to the hour. Some of us even challenged ourselves to tell the time to every 5 minutes! Miss Amis has been stopping the class at random times and choosing children to read the clock to tell everyone what time it is and everyone has been super good at it! Well done Lions :)
