Maths Cafe

On Thursday 19th October we held our Maths Cafes. The Tigers shared the book 'Pete the Cat and his four groovy buttons'.

 That silly Pete the Cat had visited our classroom and hidden lots of  groovy buttons. It took such a long time to find and sort them but we were so proud when we had finished. We also made yummy Pete the Cat button biscuits - what a brilliant morning!

EYFS Federation Day

On Tuesday 17th October, we joined the Reception classes from our Federation schools for a special Autumn activity day. We made leaf crowns, Autumn sun catchers and played with Autumn play dough. In the afternoon we had a special 'Mini Groovers' session from Premier Sports. It was such a lovely day and we made lots of new friends. We are already looking forward to when we get together again.

Blickling Hall

Today the Lions visited Blickling Hall. We had a lovely time walking around the grounds, exploring in the fields and looking at the lake. We also loved looking around the Hall and seeing all of the beautiful decorations and huge paintings on the wall. Miss Amis was very impressed with all of the children's behaviour on the trip :)

Memory Walk

On Friday we all took part in the Memory Walk to raise money for the Alzheimer's society. It was a wet day so we made sure we wore our wellies!

We walked around the beautiful fields near to our  school. Our friends in the Cheetahs and Panthers class walked with us and we loved chatting together.

Printing!

Today Lions had a great time exploring press printing! Linking to our topic, we began by carefully drawing a Union Jack design onto the press printing sheets. We had to be very careful not to put a hole in them! We then chose a colour and used the rollers to put our paint on. When we had placed our design onto our paper we then had to roll over the top with a clean roller to transfer our design. We all worked really carefully and are pleased with the results!
