On the Road

This week Lions and Tigers have been learning the story 'On the Road'. Together we created a class story map and even added actions to help us remember the story. On Thursday we were all super excited (despite the rain!) to go out for a walk in the village. Along the way we made up our own story using some of the prepositions from 'On the Road'.
Off we go through the gate, along the path

past the school

to the fields

around the church

The circus came to town!

Wow! What a busy week we have had. Our Lions had their first Forest Schools session, we have all started a new Talk for Writing unit based on the text 'On the Road' by Susan Stegall and ....... the circus came to our school! Our federated schools joined us for a day of circus workshops and a picnic lunch. It was amazing!

Roald Dahl Day

The 13th of September is Roald Dahl day and we joined in with lots of fun. Lots of children and staff dressed up for the day and we all took part in a carousel of activities, each one linked to a different Roald Dahl book.
