Rosie's Walk and Shape Hunts!

This week the Tigers have been busy learning the story Rosie's Walk. They came to perform it to the Lions and they were fantastic!!

Year 1 and 2 have been focusing on shape this week. We took the Ipads and went on a shape hunt around the school. We found lots of different shapes and could talk about their properties.

Baby Lambs!

This term our topic is 'Down on the Farm'. Last week we were lucky enough to visit Ebony and Isaac's house where they have their very own baby lambs. We all went on a lovely sunny walk through the village and were very excited to see the lambs. Mr and Mrs Amos told us how they look after them and we had lots of questions we wanted to ask. Next week we will be making information books to show what we learnt.

Spanish Update

We continued to read our book from Mother's Day, Quiero a Mí Mamá Porqué... (I love my Mummy because...) by Porter-Gaylord, but this time we've been working on learning the names of some well known animals!  Well done to Ebony, Jack & Karla for matching the names so accurately!
Our class is also working hard on learning the Spanish version of Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes, so you may hear some more singing!  The Spanish song has 2 main differences:  they use waist instead of shoulders, and face instead of ears!  We're going to keep practicing in hopes of showing you in an Assembly next half term!  Please feel free to let your children use our class diagram to help them remember the words.
We hope you've had a chance to see our Spanish display, the children love using the faces to remember how to answer, ¿Como estas?
Adios,
Señora Pell
