Spanish Update From Mrs Pell

The Lions and Tigers class have been delightfully enthusiastic about their brand new Spanish lessons too!  You may hear them singing Spanish songs that help us remember how to say,
"hello, how are you?, very well, thank you!"
(hola, como estas? muy bien, gracias!)

And their favourite one so far that teaches them to ask,
"where are you?" and answer, "here I am!"
(donde esta?, aquis estoy!)
We have also learned how to ask and answer the question, "how are you?" By saying either, "very good, good, ok, bad, or very bad!" Complete with theatrical sign language!
(muy bien, bien, asi-asi, mal, muy mal)
Finally, we have been reading Oso pardo, Oso pardo, que ves ahi? (Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you See? By Eric Carle) to begin learning colours and animals.  I was very impressed by how quickly the children were able to parrot the pattern of the story in Spanish and their work is simply wonderful!
